Sharon Phelps CCC-SLP
Speech Therapy

My name is Sharon Phelps. I’ve been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 15 years. Early communication development, language assessments, and Autism deficits are a few of my passions. I was an Early Intervention and Speech Therapist assistant before finishing my master’s degree from NOVA Southeast in 2007.  I have loved supervising speech assistants and therapists new to the speech/language field over the years. My growth as a Speech Language Pathologist continues with therapist collaboration, exploring innovative therapy techniques, and supervision. In my spare time, I lead my daughter’s Girl Scout troop and assist with Lacrosse coaching. I live in Lithia Florida with my husband, Ryan and my two daughters.

Meg Boyd CCC-SLP
Speech Therapy

I have worked as a Speech Language Pathologist since graduating from Nova Southeastern University in 1994. I started my career at All Children’s Hospital where I gained a wealth of knowledge & experience treating children with a diverse array of communication disorders including developmental delay, articulation & language disorders, literacy-based language disorders, fluency disorders, & Autism Spectrum Disorders. I was also a team member of All Children’s Cleft Palate Team, Early Intervention Team, and Growth & Development Team.

In the following years, my career followed the path of my children’s educational journey. I worked as both a teacher & a speech therapist at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Preschool, later at St. John’s Episcopal Day School, and finally, in 2008, Trinity School for Children, a charter school in Hillsborough County where I worked full-time as the school’s speech therapist. I was responsible for identifying & treating students with speech & language impairments in grades K-8 and was part of a dynamic response to intervention team (which I played an integral role in developing). This put me directly into the classroom where I observed students in their natural setting and identified exact areas of breakdown where I could intervene accordingly. Working closely with the teachers, I was able to align therapy goals directly to curriculum-based needs. During my time at Trinity, I created a specialty study group for my middle-school students targeting study & test-taking skills and I created a social skills group that took place during lunch period called “Lunch Bunch” where students had the opportunity to put into practice appropriate social exchanges during a naturally occurring social situation with their peers. While working at Trinity, I also worked part time at Lemon Tree Language and Literacy Center, where I specialized in language & literacy classes (Orton Gillingham), study skills & test prep classes, & social links classes. Currently, I work full time at Health Pro Heritage (Beth Ingram South Tampa Clinic) as a clinic lead, I am blessed to have the opportunity to evaluate and treat a diverse group of clients each day. In addition, I am blessed to work with an amazing group of therapist’s who share the same passion of supporting families and children in their journey to improved communication skills.
