Kari was born in Minnesota and will always be a Minnesotan at heart. She graduated from Marquette University in 2010 with a doctorate of physical therapy. She has always had a passion for working with children. Through physical therapy internships and volunteer work with children, she decided she wanted to continue to work with children for her career. She came to Colorado after graduation, and never looked back because of the mild winters and the many outdoor activities available here.

Kari has experience in a pediatric outpatient clinic and home health setting working with children ages 0-18 years old. She loves getting to know each child and their family and helping them achieve their goals and improve function. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, torticollis, plagiocephaly, prematurity, hypotonia, orthopedic conditions, Spina Bifida, genetic disorders, coordination disorders and more.

In addition, Kari has a passion for adaptive physical activities. She currently teaches kids yoga classes to kids of all abilities. She also started a climbing group for kids of all abilities in Colorado Springs. In her free time, she loves to do anything outdoors with her husband and son, including camping, mountain and road biking, hiking, and rock climbing.
