“Kat” was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kat earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in disability studies from The Ohio State University as well as her
“Kat” was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kat earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in disability studies from The Ohio State University as well as her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences from Case Western Reserve University. She was drawn to a career in speech language pathology after witnessing the positive impact speech and language therapy had on her younger cousin, Hannah, diagnosed with down syndrome. She has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population and has evaluated and treated children of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses. While in Ohio, Kat gained extensive experience at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital specializing in neonatal feeding and swallowing. She also has experience as a research assistant facilitating tasks with focuses on the genetic basis of speech sound disorders. Kat believes in a family-centered approach to therapy and strives to establish a strong rapport with all of the families she works with in order to help promote the best healthcare outcomes. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
